Choose Your Own Video Project Assignment

 
Overview & Objectives:
You have the opportunity to choose one of the video Assignments listed below for your next Project. Click on the assignment link of the project that you want to complete the next two class periods.
Materials/Resources:

Materials

  • Adobe Premiere
  • GarageBand - use GarageBand to create your own background music and to use its copyright-free sound effects.
  • Digital Images
  • Headphones

  • This is an individual Assignment, 1 person will recieve credit for work on this assignment.
Vocabulary: add vocabulary words related to the assignment
Directions:

Read the descriptions of the links below to choose your next video project:

  • 30 Second Commercial Assignment - Create a 30 second commercial selling a real product.
  • How-To Training Video Assignment - Create a 1.5 to 5 minute "How to" training video
  • Green Screen Assignment - create 3 short green screen scenes (total of 30 seconds or less EACH). You may share the green screen video with a partner but you need to come up with different backgrounds.
  • Silent Film Assignment - create a (30 to 60 seconds) video that uses no dialogue to tell a story. You may use sound effects, music, and expressive movements to tell the story. MUST DO A SHOT LIST INSTEAD OF SCRIPT
  • About-Me "Mini-documentary" video - Create a mini-documentary about “a day in your life.” Take a video camera around school and have your friends talk about current trends and things going on. Take the video camera home and video your family and room.
  • Music Video - Choose a song and create a music video providing a visual to the lyrics of the song. You can have actors lip-sync or just act out the lyrics. Must submit lyrics for approval before you begin. Must be "Clean Version."

Once you choose which project you will be working on, Complete the CYOP Assignment Concept Pitch Form and download the CYOP Documentation file to help you get started and to complete and turn in when your video is completed.

Directions for turning work in:

Save as period_lastnamei_asssignmentname.mp4 (1a_smithj_CYOP.mp4) in your 5-6wks folder and upload a copy to Google Classroom. Print your CYOP Documenation and turn it in to your teacher.

If you are turning in a file as a group project save as (2a_lastnamei1-lastnamei2-lastnamei3_assignmentname.mp4)
