Objective: Create a 1.5 minutes or more Interview Video(no more than 5 minutes). In this project, students will pick a person of interest to interview, research and prepare questions, schedule an interview, prepare audio/video equipment, film the interview, film needed B-roll footage, edit the video, create lower third titles, and export the finished project for a grade.

GarageBand - use GarageBand to create your own background music and to use its copyright-free sound effects.
Create music in Garageband and export it to use in your video.
Use Adobe Audition or Garageband to record Voice-overs and Narrations.

Requirements:
Complete the Interview Planning Form stating who will be on your project team, team member roles, who your interviewee will be, and your idea for your video. (This will be a seperate grade)
Video will include an interview, b-roll footage, and lower-third titles.
Must be edited to 90 seconds (min) to 5 minutes (max). (Points will be deducted if video runs over 5 minutes or is under 90 seconds)
This assignment is solo or groups up to 2 in a team. Divide responsibilities for planning, writing, interviewing, shooting, and each student will be editing their own edition using the interview clips you shot together.
Save the video as 3a_lastnamei_Interview.mp4 and upload it to Google Classroom. Compressed as a H.264 Youtube 1080 29.97fps mp4 file.
DUE: you have 2 weeks to complete this project before mid 6wks progress reports.
Grades: You will get a grade for completing the Interview Planning Form, Interview Video Shot List(documentation), and Interview video. (3 grades)

Directions for turning work in:
Save as period_lastnamei_asssignmentname.mp4 (1a_smithj_Interview.mp4) in your 2-6wks folder and upload and turn in to Google Classroom. Each student will edit their own edition using the clips you and your partner shot together. Submit the Interview Planning sheet and documentation with your video file.
